Yosemite National Park

Day 1 - Shots entering the park, and from the valley looking up, plus a short day hike to Bridalveil Falls. Day 2 - Shots of my 8 hour, 2,700' climb to the top of Yosemite Falls. I had not planned on going that far up the mountain when I started the day, and ran out of food and water by the time I had reached the top. I started cramping about 30 minutes into the 3 hour hike down, and had to stop the few hikers still on the trail to ask for water, just to make it back. I was so dehydrated my legs were cramping with every step I took, but I had to keep walking, because if I didn't make it off the mountain before dark when temperatures drop below freezing, hypothermia would have set in, and I would have been in real trouble. Beautiful views from up there, and looking back it was worth the pain. Luckily it all worked out, but it was a very close call, and one careless mistake I will not make again.
